The North Carolina Realtors Residential Lease Agreement is a legal document that is utilized between landlord and tenant to place into writing the allowance by an owner, landlord or management company, for a tenant to occupy a premises for a stated amount of time, under certain terms and conditions, for an agreed upon monthly payment amount. When that time has passed the tenant or landlord will provide 30 days notice to either vacate or renew the lease/agreement. Step 2 – Initial Term –

  • Beginning Date of Lease

Step 3 – Fees –

  • Late Payment Fee – Enter the amount or the percentage of the rental payment
  • Returned Check Fee -Enter the charges with the maximum being 25.00
  • Security Deposit- Enter the cost of the security deposit and specify by checking one of the boxes as to whom will hold the deposit

Step 4 – Fees for Complaint for Summary Ejectment and/or Money Owed

  • Complaint-Filing Fee amount or percentage if rent payment or percentage
